About Me

Aloha, my name is Mahealani Kane-Urquiza to make everyone’s life easier I go by Lani Kane and most people know me by this shortened version. My Hawaiian family served this great country starting with my Grandfather in WWI, my father in WWII, my brother in Vietnam, and four uncles. I was raised to love America and respect those who served & sacrificed for this country.

I took an active role after Benghazi and was appointed District 3 Representative Chair for the Lake County Republican Party. I was appointed Chair where I served 6 years. I was blessed with mentors who guided me in rebuilding our central committee from the ground up. I was a member of the Lake County Republican Women’s Federated & a member of the CRA. I reactivated some of their Red Elephants members who became monthly supporters. I was elected Chair twice of our Municipal Advisory Council to the Board of Supervisors and served four years.

After rebuilding our central committee with a year-round headquarters, I started networking throughout the Northern and Central Valley regions. I founded the Republican Rural County Alliance where we held training, had multi-county fundraisers, and collaborated on rural issues.

I was asked to consider running for the County Chairmen’s Association in 2019. After careful consideration and research, I ran and won my seat in 2020. I was proud to represent all 58 counties in the State of CA and worked diligently to communicate, support & educate central committees and new chairs. I sat on the Board of Directors of the CAGOP and served on the Election Integrity Board. We accomplished setting up each county with EI chairs, volunteers, and a program to work with the ROV’s along with others in other states. After a tragedy and a leave of absence, I was re-elected to the County Chairmen’s Association in March 2022.
